On Monday 19 January 2015 the 14 students from the maths leader group went on a day trip to the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.During the day, Tony Stringer, a business lecturer there, helped us to look at different companies on the computer using a software called Bloomberg; Bloomberg gives you up to date information on shares, profits, investments etc.
We were in pairs and we had a budget of $100,000. Using this budget, we had to select and invest in one or more companies. We had to look at how much money it would cost per share and how many shares we would want. It was a great learning experience and we all enjoyed it.
We would like to say thank you to Mrs Forster for her hard work but in particular to Mrs Dennis for organising the trip and for passing her minibus driving test to take us there!
