Martin Cosser from the charity Charlie's Promise came to school to speak to Year 8 and Year 10 students yesterday about the dangers and immeasurable impacts of both using and carrying a knife. Martin spoke of his much loved 17 year old son Charlie's death as a result of knife crime in 2023 and the impact that this has had on his family and friends. The talks were very moving, with many students staying behind or returning to speak to Martin at the end. The end of the talk focused on positive choices and the choices students can make if they believe or suspect someone is carrying a knife, including contacting Fearless (Crimestoppers) anonymously on 0800 555 111 to report this.
