Mr Wishart is a colleague who gives up his time selflessly, both after school and during school holidays, for the benefit of students. In recent years, Mr Wishart has attended residential PE trips, sporting fixtures and run extra-curricular clubs.

Mr Wishart happily drives us all over Essex giving up his evenings to attend sporting fixtures, during which he encourages students and has even refereed games. As well as fixtures, Mr Wishart volunteers more time to coach boys’ rugby after school.  Again, this is very helpful to both the PE department and the students. The students are very fond of him and he is always making students laugh with his witty comments. Mr Wishart has been a learning mentor for the last 4 years, where he offers fantastic support to students making a difference in the classroom.

Many students have had their time enhanced at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form, thanks to John, and as a caretaker/learning mentor he is exceeding his duties dramatically going over and above expectations. Mr Wishart is a worthy recipient of the Jack Petchey Leader Award.
