As a school we are committed to reviewing school policies at regular intervals.
Consultation with parents is part of this process and enables us to take account of the views of the wider school community before making decisions. We are in the process of reviewing our policy on hairstyles following concerns raised by several parents at the end of the last school year and at the beginning of this one. This is part of a wider policy on school uniform, having as its foundational aims that appearance and dress should be uniform, not open to various interpretations and should not compromise the health and safety of pupils. We would like as many parents as possible to give us their views. To that end there is a questionnaire on the reverse of the letter sent home with your child, and an electronic version on this page (click for link). We would be grateful if you would fill in either and submit/return it to school as soon as you are able, and no later than Friday 9th December. We will then analyse your responses and feed back the outcomes to you.
Whichever method you choose to use please make sure that you fill in your child’s details on the form. This will enable us to keep track of responses and make sure that we get as much input as possible.
