Following the success of last week’s Post 16 and ‘A’ level results, Notley High School is also celebrating improvement in its GCSE and BTEC results. 136 students achieved at least a Grade 4 (standard pass) in English and Maths, with 85 students securing a Grade 5 (strong pass) and above in English and Maths.

Whilst there are many individual student success stories, some have produced exceptional results across all their subjects. This includes:

  • Oscar: 6 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s. Oscar studied French, Geography, History, Triple Science alongside maths, English Literature and English Language.
  • Emily: 4 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8 and 4 Grade 7s. Emily studied Spanish, History, Triple Science, Media alongside maths, English Literature and English Language.

In addition, students were successful in achieving the highest possible grade – a grade 9 – in the following subjects: English, Maths, Triple Science, Drama, Geography, History, RE; and a Distinction* in Child Development.

This year’s cohort has been a real credit to our school and many of the individual achievements have been tremendous. Well done to the Class of 2024!

Headteacher, Mr Barrow, said: “We are proud of all the work and achievements of our students. Our teachers, learning mentors and pastoral staff have run additional revision sessions, interventions and offered 1:1 support and I am tremendously grateful to each and every one of them. We now look forward to welcoming so many of the 2024 cohort back in September as they embark upon their ‘A’ level and BTEC qualifications.”
