During the Autumn term learning support students have continued to enjoy exploring and learning outdoors.

In September we enjoyed harvesting the fruit and vegetables that we have been growing. We had leeks, runner beans, pears, apples, potatoes, raspberries, and blackberries; and have collected seeds which we hope to use to grow more this year.

We have continued to enjoy discovering the visitors to our garden and are trying to encourage more and more. Olly made a home for the newts and frogs that live in our garden using recycled materials. We researched hedgehog houses, making one using wood from a pallet and are now hoping that some hedgehogs will use it soon. We also made more bird houses in time for the nesting season in Spring.

We have enjoyed finding the beauty of nature in our garden during the Autumn. From the miniature forest of mushrooms, the displays of seed heads to shapes made by frozen water. We have also enjoyed listening to the robins that live in our garden who come and sing to us while we are working!
