Dear Parents/Carers

As a school community, we will be running a collection for the Braintree Foodbank for the upcoming festive season. We would like to encourage all students, if possible, to bring in an item or two to support this cause and to aid those in their community.

The appeal will run from Monday 18th - Thursday 21st November, and students can bring items to their tutor, or to the Humanities/MFL office. The Foodbank have given a shopping list of ideas which would benefit those receiving the parcels, given below:

Food items:                                                    

  • Cold meat tinned
  • Hot meat tinned
  • Jam
  • Chocolate
  • Rice
  • Pasta sauce
  • Sponge puddings
  • Packet custard
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned fish
  • Instant snacks g. pot noodle
  • Tinned hot snacks
  • Tinned rice pudding
  • Tinned potatoes
  • UHT milk

  Non-food items:

  • Comb
  • Face cloth
  • Nail clippers
  • Small torches
  • Male/female deodorant
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Male/female shower gel
  • Male/female shampoo
