SEND Notice

As previously mentioned in an earlier bulletin Mr Haddon is meeting with parents of students involved in learning support.  Year 9 students have been invited on Friday 26th Jan throughout the day.  EHCP students will be invited for an annual review once the options have been published.  If you required a meeting and haven’t been invited, please contact Mr Haddon peter.haddon@notleyhigh.com

In addition, we are offering a coffee morning – 10.10 to 11.00 on Wednesday 14th February for parents and carers with children at the school who have a student with Autism.  This is an opportunity to talk to other parents and carers and share some successes or ask for help with similar issues.  Parents with a student known to the learning support department will receive an invite via email but if you haven’t received an invite but would be interested, again, please email Mr Haddon directly.

Uniform

Next week, we are going to focus on uniform as the weather slightly improves.  Students must be wearing the correct uniform; please see the attached link if you need confirmation of what is permitted/required.  Please be reminded that leggings and trainers are not permitted (students with medical reasons that we are aware of will be able to continue getting a trainer pass).  Students that are not wearing the correct uniform will be isolated; it is imperative that the student body reflect the values and expectations of Notley High School in how they dress and need to adhere to the uniform policy.  As the weather is still cold, students are permitted to wear v-neck black jumpers but not hooded or zip up tops.  A tie should also be worn at all times.

We are currently in the process of ordering spare shoes, ties and jumpers should students not have these and once these have arrived, students will have to wear these if they do not come into school in the correct uniform.

We appreciate your ongoing support in making our students present themselves in the best possible way.
