Twenty one gifted and talented year 6 pupils from Notley’s feeder primary schools attended a Science Master Class on Tuesday 29th April. The pupils were required to find the solubility of ammonium chloride at different temperatures.
Pupils were excited to use Bunsen burners to heat the solution and had to spot the crystallisation temperature as the solution cooled. This was a particularly challenging Master Class for year 6 pupils but each group obtained an accurate set of results then displayed their results in graphical form.
This was the third and final in a series of year 6 Master Classes to be held at Notley High School this year. Thanks, as always, to Mrs Newell for her excellent preparation and assistance.
