This year 14 students from Year Seven have been selected to take part in the Carnegie Shadow Reading Scheme.

7 titles have been nominated for the prestigious Carnegie Book award. Each week we will meet and discuss and review the books. Our shadow group will try and predict which book will be awarded the Carnegie Medal for 2008. Will they chose the winner? We didn’t last year! Our students much preferred “Beast” by Ally Kennen to the winning “Just in Case” by Meg Rosoff. Will Meg Rosoff be crowned the winner again this year with her nominated book “What I Was”? We will have to wait until the 26th June to find out! You can find out more and read our group reviews by logging on to www.carnegiegreenaway.org.uk and then select the shadowing site. All the Carnegie titles will be available in the library.
