Notley High School pupils had a cracking time raising cash for Comic Relief. The fundraisers were challenged to chomp their way through three crackers in the fastest time possible.
The event was organised by tutor group 11T and saw just under £15 raised for the cause during lunch break on Friday. Student Tommy Jones, who came up with the scheme, said: "I got the idea from my mum and my nan. It went fantastically well and everyone had fun raising the money."The world-record for eating three cream crackers is under 50 seconds. Year 11 student Aaron Williams scooped the fastest time with an impressive 1 min 28 seconds.
