Eighteen gifted and talented year 6 pupils from Notley’s feeder primary schools attended a Science Master Class on Tuesday 4^th March.

 

The groups comprised of a mixture of pupils from Terling, White Notley, White Court, St. Michaels, Notley Green and Rayne primary schools. The pupils used specialised equipment, including gas syringes, to measure the amount of carbon dioxide released from marble chips reacting with hydrochloric acid at different temperatures. Each group obtained an accurate set of results and displayed their results in graphical form using Excel. This was the second of three year 6 master classes to be held at Notley High School this year. Thanks to Mrs Simpson for her excellent preparation and assistance.
