On the 29th of September a selection of year 9 students got picked to take part in an Art Work Shop.

 

This took place in G10 and G12. Students had to be creative and skilful. They were creating sketches for clay tiles. The students used objects such as a chilli, pineapple and books for inspiration.

"It’s interesting and creative," quoted Jennifer Baldock (9L).

"The work we’re doing is imaginative and you can express yourself," quoted Kate Portway.

"You learn new ways like how to enjoy art and be skilful," quoted Rebecca Harris.

Clearly all the students enjoyed themselves and had a great time. On behalf of all the year 9 students, thank you to the art department, for putting on this exciting and creative event.
