Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form will be celebrating World Book Day with a range of book themed activities and competitions at break and lunchtime in the library on 5 March.

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, books and, most importantly - reading. In fact, it is the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

This year, Notley library will be hosting special “Where’s Wally” themed World Book Day competitions and Wally themed activities. Prizes are up for grabs for the competitions so students are encouraged to come along and take part!

The library will also be running a special World Book Day House competition. Can your child’s tutor group use their book knowledge to reveal the magic number? From 2 - 6 March there will be a special World Book Day chest in the library. Inside will be five goody bags. To win a goody bag, students need to open the chest. They will be required to collect a Magic Number competition sheet, answer the six book related questions, making sure to follow the maths instructions to be in with a chance of winning a tutor group goody bag!
