Notley Library Presents…The Body in the Library 3rd-24th June
One Crime Scene…6 Suspects…6 weapons and a missing famous detective…are the teams ready for the challenge? The Great detective Burgelock Holmes has mysteriously disappeared whilst working at the Crime Scene on “The Body in the Library” Murder case, at Tudor Mansion. Having worked out “whodunit” Burgelock Holmes locked the identity of the Killer in a safety deposit at the Crime scene, and then mysteriously disappeared. His final communication to Scotland Yard was a cryptic note which appeared to be a sequence of number clues.
Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard, assisted by his trusty associates Mrs Osborn and Mrs Simkins, invited top code crackers to collect a crime file and assist the police and reveal the identity of the murderer. The Teams had to follow the instructions and find the answers around the school to reveal a code for the combination lock on the safety deposit box. There were 8 fiendish questions to find the answers to, the end result was to have a 4 digit number which they would take to the crime scene and try to open the box – only the correct number would succeed! Once opened the teams would have access to the case file to reveal who committed the crime and win the competition. Who will it be? The glamourous Miss Scarlett, the honourable Reverend Green, the upstanding Colonel Mustard, the flamboyant Mrs Peacock, the logical Professor Plum or the quiet cook Mrs White? Only the correct code will reveal the culprit– The game is afoot!
