With the General Election and Local Elections taking place across the country on 7 May, students have been taking the opportunity to learn about the democratic process, exploring policies and others' views, and casting their vote in our own mock elections.
Students in Years 7 and 8 created their own parties and manifestos, and learned about the process of running an election before casting their final votes. Students in Years 9, 10 and 11 evaluated the policies of the main political parties in Britain before voting for their choices and representatives. We are eagerly awaiting the final result and to seeing how it compares with the national outcome.
