The scholastic Book Fair visited Notley High from 26 November to 2 December. All pupils in Year 7 were given an extra special Christmas treat; they were taken along to the Library during one of their English lessons and had the opportunity to select a FREE book from the Scholastic Book Fair as a gift from the school.
There was a great range of books to choose from and everyone successfully chose a book. Students will be using these books to complete work in the New Year in their English lessons and home learning.
The top three books chosen by students at the book fair were:
1st : “Earth Fall” by Mark Walden – an action packed science-fiction thriller
2nd “The Boyfriend Dilemma” – a tale of friendships and family
3rd “Tom gates: A Tiny Bit Lucky” – Another hilarious instalment from prize winning author Liz Pichon
All the books have now been ordered and will arrive in the next couple of weeks. Books will be delivered to tutor groups by the “Library Elves”, just in time for Christmas! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the book fair at lunchtime on 1 and 2 December.
