Braintree Arts Theatre was the chosen venue to host this year’s Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards Evening for the Braintree district of schools on Tuesday 17 January 2017.

All of Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form’s 2016 winners and their friends and family came to what was a really lovely evening, celebrating the achievements of over eighty students and staff members from across eleven schools and colleges. It was lovely to welcome back two of our past students who left us at the end of the last academic year.

During the course of the evening, we were entertained by two students playing pieces on the piano; Nicole Roffey from Tabor Academy and our very own Emily Stirrup, in Year 10 (Franklin 13). Emily had the daunting task of opening the evening by playing a piece called ‘In the Shed’; she played beautifully - well done Emily!

All of the award winners were presented with their boxed medallions by Councillor Frankie Ricci, Chairman of Braintree Council.

Many congratulations to all winners from all of the schools. Mr Fuller and I were very proud, in particular, of the eight students representing Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and very much look forward to running another successful award scheme in school this year.
