On Monday 24^th June it was both an honour and a great pleasure to welcome Mr Henry Wermuth and his daughter Ilana Metger to Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form. 

Mr Wermuth is a Holocaust survivor who managed to survive eight different labour and extermination camps. 

Students and staff were privileged to hear his testimony which included an account of how he attempted to assassinate Hitler as well as the tragic story of how his father died just days before liberation. Students were given the opportunity to ask Mr Wermuth questions and then meet him. It was both a moving and inspiring visit.
