Well Done to the Year 11 students of 2018-2019 from Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form, who are collecting their GCSE results today.

It is a great pleasure to see students achieving so highly from their individual starting points.

60% of students have achieved grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths GCSE. 101 students achieved at least 5 grades of 5 or higher, and 22 students achieved at least one grade 9. 15% of all grades achieved were 9-7 (or equivalent).

Some of our highest performing students were:

Lewis Slade who gained 7x9s, 2x8s and a 7.

Noah Marsh who achieved 5x9s, 3x8s, 1x7  and a 6.

Hannah Humm who gained 5x9s, 2x8s and 3x7s.

Ysanne Aley who achieved 3x9s, 3x8s and 4x7s.

Alan Menzies who gained 3x9s, 6x7s and a 6.

Emma Harrison who achieved 2x9s, 5x8s, 2x7s and a Distinction in Textiles.

Kieran Cockayne who gained 2x9s, 3x8s, 1x7 and 4x6s

Melissa Forrester who achieved 1x9, 3x8s, 5x7s and 1x6.

Well done to all.

Many thanks to all staff for their encouragement and guidance of the students in their preparation for the exams and thanks to parents for their support as well. We congratulate all the students on their achievements and wish them the very best for the future, whether this is at Braintree Sixth Form or education or training elsewhere.
