On Thursday 20th June Notley High School played host to the Bridge Academy Trust Book Awards 2024.  After 4 months of reading the four shortlisted books and working hard on posters, book reviews and creative writing, students from Notley High School, Moulsham High and Ramsey Academy met to hear the results of the competitions and most importantly, to be told the winning book.  Our winner was Glitter Boy, written by Ian Eagleton – huge congratulations to him and to our competition winners - Scarlett from Moulsham High for Best Poster, Sophie from Notley High School for Best Book Review and Luisa from Ramsey Academy for Best Creative Writing.  A special mention to the Moulsham students who also provided us with a song based on Glitter Boy. The Trust’s CEO, Mark Farmer, kindly said a few words about the pleasure of reading.  A variety of activities were enjoyed throughout the day by all the participating students.  Thank you to all the visiting staff who assisted with the book awards and made it such a wonderful event.
