A small group of students from Years 7 and 8 have been taking part in Forest School pilot sessions for 2 hours each Friday for 6 weeks.

 They have learnt how to:

  • tie knots to make a rope swing,
  • make shelters and hang hammocks,
  • use tools such as a bill hook, sheath knife and saws to prepare firewood or to make objects,
  • light and maintain a fire so they can cook on them,

In the final session they cooked s'mores, eggs and campfire doughnuts, made a swing and some have even had a shower!
