We were overwhelmed by the standard of the entries. We had some amazing cakes including the Colosseum, Venezuela. A cake in the shape of Dutch cheese and French Frogs legs and snails. In addition to the we had several countries represented such as Nigeria, Hungary, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. As well as cakes we also had French croissants and macarons and Spanish churros entered.
It was a difficult decision, but we had to choose the winning three. After much debate, the judges, made up of Ms Ryan. The languages teachers and some of our A level MFL students decided on:
First place : The Colosseum by Rose
Second Place : Venezuela by Paola and Faith
Third place: France by Rebecca
All the students that entered will receive a small prize and 5 house points each. We are so proud of all the students that entered and are astounded by their baking talents and their creativity. We would like to thank every student for entering and helping us to celebrate such an important day for the languages department.
