Article Date: 06 September 2006

As a high performing 11-16 specialist school with a vocational specialism, Notley High School has the opportunity to bid to establish sixth form provision.

The Governors believe there are strong educational grounds for doing this and therefore an application has been submitted to the Learning and Skills Council to establish a Sixth Form Centre at the school in partnership with other local educational providers.

Details of the proposal are given in the letter to parents. We are required to consult with all interested parties and would welcome views on the proposal which may be given in the following ways:

  • In writing to Pat Ferady, Clerk to the Governors, Notley High School
  • By e-mail to pat.ferady@notleyhigh.com
  • By submitting your comments on the feedback form.
The consultation period will run for six weeks from 5 September until 17 October. The Governing Body will meet to consider the views expressed on this proposal on 17 October and, as required, will publish a Statutory Notice confirming our plans by 20 October.
