On Wednesday 2 November a Progression Day took place for all year 11 students. This provided students with the chance to attend different taster sessions of subjects and courses which they are considering pursuing next year.

Many students attended A Level course taster sessions in Braintree Sixth Form where they had the chance to speak to teachers, experience Sixth Form life and to also evaluate different and new subject choices, such as Economics, Law and Psychology.

We also welcomed representatives from Apprenticeship providers, Writtle University College, Colchester Institute and the College@Braintree who gave insight into a wide range of opportunities and courses, from Car Spraying to Childcare.

The feedback from the external providers was very complimentary and students were very much engaged with the day, demonstrating an excellent attitude towards this learning experience. We hope that all Year 11 found this useful when considering your options for next year.
