Jacob Sam-La Rose's collection 'Breaking Silence' is a set text for the English Language and Literature A Level course and Jacob performed and discussed a range of poems with students, as well as examining challenging poetic forms which were unfamiliar to most of the audience. He also shared his journey into poetry with students, and it was a great privilege to hear him on this subject; the workshop was made possible by Olivia Coughlan's generous use of her Jack Petchey award and we thank her for this.
