Jack Ager, in Year 7, raised an incredible £2000 for the Make A Wish Foundation by unicycling from Braintree to Hatfield Forest along the Flitch Way during half term.

Unicycling is a challenge in itself as there is a need to constantly pedal in order to stay upright, but the conditions on the day were made worse by many sections being waterlogged. Jack did not let this stop him; sadly due to the current restrictions it meant that a welcome party at the forest could not go ahead.

We are immensely proud of Jack for taking on this brave challenge and hope that he may inspire others within our school community; not only to raise money for a worthwhile cause but also to put their skills to the ultimate challenge which takes a great deal of resilience and determination!
