This week, Evey Daly in Year 10 took part in the Grand Final of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge 2022, in the Cambridge Theatre in London’s West End.

Evey was one of just 15 finalists who have beaten more than 25,000 students across all of Essex and London, to get their place in the Grand Final.

Evey performed her speech, entitled ‘Validation’, in front of a full audience on Monday evening. This is an exceptional achievement, and we are so proud of her.

She was watched by her mum, dad, sister, granddad and two best friends, as well as Notley High School English teacher Mrs Stringer, who said: "She was absolutely incredible! She owned that big West End stage. Unfortunately, she wasn't placed in the top four, but her speech was pure perfection!"
