On Tuesday 26th February, 10 Year 8 students who are part of the Literacy Leaders group travelled to London to visit The Charles Dickens Museum, Dickens’ former home, where he wrote classics such as ‘Nicholas Nickleby’ and ‘Oliver Twist’.Students completed a tour and an author’s craft workshop, which included writing with quill pens. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and were very well behaved. The trip will aid students with some key skills required for the completion of their Literacy Leader Award later on in the year.
