We would like to invite you to join us at our Creative Arts Festival on Thursday 6 July to celebrate the achievement of students in the creative arts and design and technology. We are looking forward to musical performances of contemporary songs from the choir and soloists.

Drama will be showcasing pieces created especially for the evening as well as excerpts from the school production of Roald Dahl’s ‘Witches’. The exciting creations of our textiles students will be displayed at the fashion show and visitors can take part in an art workshop. Student pieces in a range of media by art AS, A2 and GCSE students will be on display. Product design will include a lighting display alongside the work of GCSE, AS and A2 product design and GCSE textiles students. Year 12 art, craft and design student, Beth Davis, has created the artwork for this year’s poster which is attached.

We are very proud of the achievements of our creative arts and design and technology students, many of whom go on to careers within the creative industries. Past students have taken up places at university to study architecture, furniture design, interior design, automotive engineering, make up and prosthetics for film and television, fashion design, graphic design and fine art.

The evening will begin at 6pm in the Braintree Sixth Form building. Entrance is free and refreshments are available with a licensed bar. Do come along and join the celebration.
