This week we have started our celebration of Black History Month with assemblies delivered by Year 9 and Year 11 students, Zahida, Molly, Angel and Adonai. The students have spoken about why we celebrate Black History Month and shared stories of inspirational role models, as well as the experiences of their daily lives. Students will be using tutor time sessions during this month to explore aspects of Black History, the theme of which this year is 'Be proud'. Later in the month, we invite students to wear something red for Show Racism the Red Card's annual Wear Red Day, on 22 October. We will send further details out in due course.
