Nominated by one of her parents for her charity work.  Every year Farleigh Hospice have open garden events in Essex and Amy approached them on getting Great Notley, where she lives, to take part. 

She liaised with the organiser of the fundraising team at the hospice firstly to organise generating interest in the village for villagers to open their gardens by helping to produce flyers and posters and putting notices in the village newsletter. She has been involved in the planning of whose gardens open and doing visits to inspect the gardens giving advice, help and support about the event. This will be her second year at overseeing the event in our village in which so far has raised £1020.00.

Farleigh Hospice is very close to Amy’s heart as this is where her Grandad spent the last 10 days of his life and she is passionate about helping others who use the vital service it provides.
