Hannah West, 10O, a former Jack Petchey Achievement Award winner, recently competed for England in the Karate World’s Championship in Malaysia. She did herself and her country proud by getting through to the quarter finals, just being beaten by France.
This places her at 8th in the world for her age and class and is a true testament to her excellence in her sport. Her proud mother said ‘she gave her everything and fought so hard’. It’s incredible to think that one of our students is in the top echelon of karate athletes in the whole world!
Many congratulations Hannah – you’re an inspiration and we wish you all the very best in your quest to be part of Team GB in Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympics.
