Mathematics

In the Mathematics Department, we follow the Pearson Edexcel Scheme of Work across Key Stages 3 and 4. This carefully sequenced curriculum is designed to build deep conceptual understanding, fluency, and mathematical reasoning over time. Content is coherently structured to ensure knowledge is revisited and extended, supporting long-term retention and progression.

The Edexcel curriculum places strong emphasis on problem solving, mathematical communication, and the application of mathematics in a range of contexts, enabling pupils to develop confidence and resilience. High expectations are embedded throughout, with clear pathways to success for all learners and effective preparation for GCSE study and beyond.
