As we approach the midpoint of the summer term, this week has been filled with key milestones and meaningful moments across the school. Year 12 students enjoyed a visit to the Houses of Parliament and to a show in the West End, while Year 11 began their GCSE exams with calm focus and determination. For Year 13, the week marked the end of their school journey, with a warm and heartfelt leavers’ assembly giving us the chance to celebrate their many contributions and wish them well for the future. Across the school, students also took time in tutor sessions to reflect on VE Day, considering its historical importance and the values it reminds us to uphold—resilience, peace, and gratitude.
Congratulations to William, in year 7, who competed at the weekend and finished 14th in England at the national championships. Despite struggling with a foot injury and a difficult routine on pommel, he showed great resilience, bouncing back to place 8th on both Parallel Bars and High Bar. We’re proud of his determination and look forward to cheering him on at the upcoming National Challenge Cup in two weeks.
Year 10 – thank you! From Mrs Howells, Deputy Headteacher
Thank you to the very many Year 10 families who joined us for last nights’ ‘The Year Ahead’ information evening. This was a valuable opportunity to look ahead to the final stages of Year 10 and Year 11 ad to share strategies for success. It was encouraging to see such strong engagement and support – thank you.
I will be sending out the slides to all parent/carers along with links to past papers.
Sixth Form Football programme – an update from Mr Harrington, Head of PE
We are excited to announce a new Sixth Form Football Programme launching in September 2025 in partnership with FC Evolution.
As our current collaboration with Tottenham Hotspur concludes, this new partnership brings UEFA-qualified coaches and excellent pathways for progression—including university, U.S. scholarships, coaching qualifications, and professional trials. FC Evolution also places strong emphasis on academic balance, personal development, and equal opportunities, with a particular commitment to girls’ football.
We look forward to sharing further details with students and parents later this term.
Have a very good weekend.
Mr M Barrow, Headteacher

We believe in encouraging and rewarding effort and achievement. Students earn HEART points which focus on positive behaviours for learning and the development of each and every student’s character.
We believe that by providing students with HEART points, students are encouraged to engage fully with all opportunities available to them.
They also provide a framework for students to achieve their personal best and to be rewarded for it.
Through our planned curriculum and focus on HEART, we strive to develop 6 character virtues which are in line with our whole school ethos of ‘Enjoy, Enrich, Achieve, Aspire’.
