The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme is designed to publicly recognise the achievements and contributions of Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form students.

The Achievement Awards are not solely for academic achievement – they may be used to recognise a personal triumph for someone who has faced a challenge, a young person who has pushed themselves outside of their comfort zone or it may be an opportunity to recognise the outstanding efforts of a team player.

Anyone can nominate a student who has achieved something special. Each month, staff and the senior prefect team read the nominations and select a winner.

Each award winner will receive a certificate, pin badge and a book from Sir Jack himself. They will also choose how to spend a £250 grant to benefit the school. During the last academic year, bean bags have been bought for students to use in Learning Support, games have been bought for students to use in the school library and sports equipment has been bought for a club.

All award winners are invited to attend an annual ceremony to be presented with a medallion in front of their families, friends and VIPs.

You can nominate via the school website https://www.notleyhigh.com/rewards-and-awards/jack-petchey-award-scheme/jack-petchey-nomination-form or the school library has paper nomination forms.
