Henry Fitch-Bartlett was nominated by one of his teachers for inspiring their younger peers and becoming positive role models to all.He, with another student; Verity, ran drama club for year 7 students every week and directed a performance for the members of the public to watch.  It was evident that all the students really benefitted from this and all grew in confidence, made new friends and extended their voice and performance skills to a higher level. Henry grew in confidence and skill as he directed this group of students every week, with students listening carefully to his instruction.  Both Verity and Henry organised the performance, the theatre and costumes and invitation for people to come and watch. Miss Auston, the drama teacher was left with very little to do!  Henry really did go above and beyond what would have been expected of him and still managed to fit in time for his school work and Miss Auston in particular is very proud of Henry’s commitment, focus and enthusiasm to raising standards.

Henry gave his money to the drama department which, along with Verity’s award, has been put towards a lighting desk which more students will be able to use.
