In July 2020, Ronnie Williams took part in the Virtual Lakeland 50 event running 50 miles in seven days and raising over £600 for Dementia UK in the process. As a result of Ronnie's efforts, he was awarded the October Jack Petchey Award.

As part of the Jack Petchey Award, the recipient is permitted to spend a £250 grant to benefit the school or its students. Ronnie plays football on Sundays for Great Notley Pumas. All but two of the team attend Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form, and Ronnie thought it would be nice to purchase all the players a new training kit to wear for their twice-a-week training sessions.

On 3 April, once the team started to train again, they were presented with their new training kits consisting of a shirt, a pair of shorts and socks.
