Dear Parent/Carer and Student 

We are fortunate enough to be able to offer your child access to a pre-examination session the night before each of their Mathematics examinations, similar to Science.  The sessions are held on Microsoft Teams by specialist teachers from Impress, and are designed to give your child the best possible boost just before their exam.  

Here’s what they’ll gain: 

• Examiner insights on how to approach the paper 
• "Super hints" and easy-win strategies to pick up marks quickly 
• A clear understanding of the paper structure and mark distribution 
• Step-by-step guidance to stay calm, focused, and in control 

The sessions will run at the following times: 

6.00-6.55pm – Foundation Tier

7.05-8.00pm – Higher Tier 

Students will need to join the correct session by logging onto Teams, and choosing the correct Team, either Foundation or Higher. There will be option in the posts to join the correct session, either at 6pm or 7.05pm. 

The session dates are outlined below: 

Mathematics Non-Calculator Paper 1: Wednesday 14th May

Mathematics Calculator Paper 2: Tuesday 3rd June

Mathematics Calculator Paper 3: Tuesday 10th June 

Whilst these are not compulsory, they are a fantastic method of focusing and calming the students before their examinations as well as reminding them of the key information for each one.  We hope you support us in encouraging them to join the sessions as much as you are able.
